Daniel has always come off more open minded than others so to me he seems to be straight but open minded. So I don’t think he is in the closet.

As of yet, Daniel has not expressed being a member of the LGBTQ+ community, but he has long been an ally going back to at least 2010 with a friendship with trans artist Our Lady J and this 2011 Trevor Project PSA -
And highlighting the importance of gay marriage, etc

There were some blind items that went around a few years back. A lot of people thought they were about Joe Jonas and a sex tape and dildo play. Nothing ever came of them though, and the rumors soon faded away. So not sure if he is or isn’t but there definitely was talk.
