There is only data for 1923-1939 and 1950-2021. The missing years have been linearly interpolated to avoid a jump and reflect the passage of time. For those born during the time period no child mortality is assumed. For ages above 80 the linear interpolation is at each age group instead of following the cohort, this is to better reflect the exponetial morality rate and low precision of data at that age. Numbers during the time period are inaccurate since the population changes were not evenly distributed during the time period.
Statistics Estonia is basing the data on both censuses and estimates, it's not an exact population count for each year. This can be seen at the older ages especially, where the low resolution of data creates a bit of blinking.
