| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- That was kinda tense I guess.. In the end, we get a cliffhangerish ending although I thought the momentum of the episode/finale was good. And it doesn't look like the whole problem is solved wither regarding the grand wars. 6/10 for this season. Some pacing problems aside, I thought it was decent overall. "Are you there?" |

| 7/10. A bit of slow pacing problems. Pretty solid show overall and loved the OST and OP throughout the show. That ending 'Future vision' though... S2 when? |

| Why MAL marked this as a 13 ep season when it's a 26 ep season? The 14th episode will be aired in 5 days according to Wiki/Charts. Not much to say, I will just wait for the next episode. |

| The pacing for most of this season was off kilter pretty bad, especially around the middle. At one point, around episode 6 I think, I just gave up and stopped watching. I just marathoned the remaining episodes and it did pick back up, but the way the cour's are split is kind of stupid. They should have just run all of it at once, it wouldn't feel so much like they're taking cheapshots at us then. Overall, it was difficult to pick up what was happening at first because of the time that has passed since the movie. But once it got started it got a bit easier to remember, and I actually enjoyed the way they split between the "main" characters. I'm particularly interested in the 3 pilot kids and Canon's stories, and it's just as awesome as always to see Kazuki and Soushi being the unbeatable heroes. I am kind of getting the impression that Kazuki might really die this time, though. Or, that Toumi might sacrifice herself to save him. I was kind of hoping for more development between Kazuki and Canon during that scene in the hangar before he boarded Sein, I really like those two together. I think I'll have to give this season a 7/10, it was "good" but not "very good". |

| This cour was pretty much dedicated to set up, which i appreciate sinc ei prefer slow pacing with pay off later in the series, i definitely look foreword to seeing how this all comes together in the next cour. They are really building up this looming tragedy i hope they dont cop out on it after all the hints of suffering to come, i dont want to see most of these characters go its just after this much foreshadowing it would just be a let down for them to not follow through. my predictions for the body count: - everyone on the expedition dies including kazuki maya and soushi but they are able to move a good portion of the transport to a safe location in their sacrifice, on the flip side i think the island's defenses will fall and will have to be evacuated, makabe will likley die alongside orihime and a few of the pilots, i think kanon will likley make it out though sakura, kenji are pretty much boned, dont know about the newer pilots, once the ilsand is forced to be evacuated i think the survivors will try to go to the new colony kazuki and the rest are transporting |

| It was okay. I like mecha shows with action and this had a lot of action. The animation was good but the character designs felt dated. Story was boring and complicated. Definitely prefer the first Fafner series over this. I absolutely hate Kazuki's personality in this show it's just irritating to watch. The new characters were okay. Their deaths could have definitely added more impact on the storyline of this show like previous seasons instead the writers chose to save everyone. Well one more season to go so let's see what happens. Overall 6 but +1 for action 7/10. |
| Yup, solid 8/10! Great return for the series IMO, though this cour feels like more of a set up for the next half. I like how this expanded beyond the island and showed us the rest of the world. Also I have a feeling that Bertrand is the 'spy', unintentionally. Considering he saw the Azeal-type in his dream. Only problem is, it's been so long since the first series. My memory is a little hazy, so I keep getting lost at times. Otherwise absolutely loved it, not one boring episode. Looking forward to season 2! |

| SnF is not an anime I would recommend to anyone and I can list many, many shows that are more in need of a second season. However, I actually had fun watching this, probably due to nostalgia more than anything else. It was strange yet exciting to see everyone back after so many years. I hope the second part of the show will finally close the story but I'm a bit scared of all the possible deaths that will probably come. |
| Damn old lady trying to screw things up. Kanon seeing the future. The fight between the unmanned mechs and Festum was so good. The whole battle was good. They played the OP song. Damn Walker is a troll. Another Kazuki and Maya moment with no confession because ghost boy wants to interrupt. Kanon seeing graves. DAT KANON BOOTY! Hope is worse than despair and it's coming. |
