Original – Five-cent US postal currency, first issue, featuring Thomas Jefferson. The note is 2.5 by 1.75 inches (63.5 by 44.5 mm).

Reason

High quality, good EV. The stamp is more than 150 years old, which is quite interesting.

  • Comment I intentionally removed the background around the postal note. A few years ago, my Confederate 100 Dollar banknote was a Featured Picture Candidate on the Commons. [1] I was asked to remove the background and closely crop the image on the Confederate banknote. This 5 cent note is currently a Featured Picture Candidate on the Commons.
