If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."

• To list a technical request: the Uncontroversial technical requests subsection and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in pages and reason:

  This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.
• If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
• If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

The only reason I made this, was because the "R" on Railway should be a capital letter because Railway is always capitalised. 80.47.35.9 (talk) 16:31, 21 December 2024 (UTC)

• PlatEAU → Plateau (band) (currently a redirect back to PlatEAU) (move · discuss) – Sources on page do not use this stylized capitalization. Current title seems like an unlikely search term so does not need to be kept as a redirect. QuietHere (talk | contributions) 10:19, 22 December 2024 (UTC)

• De Havilland Canada E-9A Widget → E-9A Widget (currently a redirect back to De Havilland Canada E-9A Widget) (move · discuss) – Reviewing this recently created page as part of WP:NPP. E-9A Widget is the WP:COMMONNAME used by the sources in the article both in their titles and actual references to it. E-9A Widget currently is a redirect to De Havilland Canada E-9A Widget so I can't move it. Thank you. MolecularPilot ^{🧪️✈️} 03:34, 22 December 2024 (UTC)

Convention is to use the manufacturer's name in the title. See, for example, de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter and not Twin Otter. 162 etc. (talk) 17:57, 22 December 2024 (UTC)

Per above comment, the request is therefore contested due to a naming convention. You should discuss it by starting a move discussion. ToadetteEdit (talk) 19:47, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
