Jagunmolu Jamiu Akande Omoniyi was born in Joga-Orile, Yewa North, Ogun State. He began his career as a Chartered Accountant, later transitioning into real estate and public service. His commitment to addressing housing deficits in Nigeria has defined his professional journey.

Omoniyi began his career in finance and management, holding roles across several organizations:

Abbey Building Society PLC (2007–2009): As Regional Managerial Executive (North), he facilitated affordable housing for civil servants and secured over ₦3.5 billion in Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) funding.

- Wema Homes Savings & Loans (2005–2007): Contributed to the development of mortgage solutions.

- Partnership Savings & Loans (2003–2005): Focused on financial services and client relationships.

- Germaine Haulage & Distribution Services (2001–2003):Gained expertise in logistics and distribution.

- Berger Paints Nigeria Plc (1995–2000): Acquired managerial and financial skills.

He later founded C2Q Property & Investment Company Limited, overseeing real estate projects such as the Engr. Ebele Okeke Housing Estate and Liberty Estate in Abuja.

POLITICAL CAREER

In 2019, Omoniyi was appointed Commissioner for Housing in Ogun State by Governor Dapo Abiodun. His tenure has been marked by several significant achievements:

- Development of affordable housing estates, including Kobape Phases 1-3, Ilaro, and Kemtation projects in Ibara, Ota, and Ijebu-Ode .

- Leadership ratives, including contributions to the Presidential Housing Development Mandate, aimed at enhancing housing accessibility across Nigeria.

In recognition of his performance, he was reappointed as Commissioner for Housing in 2023, further solidifying his reputation as a key figure in Ogun State’s development .
