English: This image depicts a photomicrograph of a lung tissue specimen, revealing some of the ultrastructural histopathology exhibited in a case of pulmonary coccidioidomycosis. Note the mature spherule with its contents of Coccidioides immitis endospores, as well as an intense infiltrate of neutrophils.
