Early life

[edit]

Fivel Stewart was born in Beverly Hills, California and grew up largely on a ranch.[3][4] Her father, Nils Allen Stewart, is a professional stuntman.[5] Stewart is the younger sister of fellow actor Booboo Stewart as well as actress and stuntwoman Maegan Stewart. Stewart previously performed with siblings Booboo and Maegan as part of "TSC" (The Stewart Clan).[6] Her mother is of Japanese, Korean, and Chinese descent while his father is of Scottish, Russian, and Native American descent.[7]

Career

[edit]

Stewart has worked in the entertainment industry since the age of seven.[8] She was the lead singer of the band My Allowance. She toured with Demi Lovato, Menudo, and Mitchel Musso. She has also been the lead singer in the band 5L, accompanied by her brother Booboo Stewart who plays the guitar.[8]

Stewart began martial arts training in karate when she was five years old.[8] She began competing at age six, becoming a 2002 and 2003 World Champion in Martial Arts, and was inducted into the Black Belt Junior Hall of Fame in 2003.[8] She regularly worked with her father, stunt coordinator Nils Allen Stewart, on his projects, learning how to rig and work fire stunts.[9]

Stewart played the role of Izzie Taylor in the last three seasons of Netflix show Atypical, from 2017 to 2021.[citation needed]

In 2022, Stewart joined the cast of Umma, playing Sandra Oh's daughter Chris.[10] That same year, it was announced that Stewart would act and produce in the feature film Wake from directors Thom Arizmendi and Austin Parks Stewart.[11] It will release in 2024 via Mongrel Media.[12]

Stewart will next be seen starring in the action thriller film Bellmount.[13]
