Inaccurate?

[edit]

The article says: "It was the first time that three players were sent off in a World Cup match, a record that was only equaled until the 2006 World Cup match between Portugal and Netherlands."

However, in the article Battle of Berne, it is claimed tht three players were sent off in that game, which took place in 1954, obviously predating the Por/Holland match. Which 1 is incorrect?

Expulsions

[edit]

Arthur Machado and Jan Říha were sent off in the 45th minute, and, less importantly Zezé Procópio was sent off in the 10th minute. Martim Silveira was not sent off at all. Besides the book Glanville, Brian: "The History of the World Cup", Faber and Faber, London. p. 38, there are a myriad of contemporary sources, Such as Sport-Tagblatt, Vienna, 13/05/1938, p.1, Jornal dos Sports, RJ, 13/05/1938, p.1, etc. The FIFA record is definitely wrong here. Also, the name of the Brazilian coach has to be adjusted to Adhemar Pimenta. The templates have to be adjusted accordingly. Cheers, Oalexander (talk) 05:11, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Giant: I am as bold as they come in this parish. When you click on the Edit link to the line-ups all you get to see there is a couple templates which don't seem to be accessible to mere mortals like humble me. Thus I kindly request your expert intervention. Cheers, Oalexander (talk) 02:58, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
