Two route line templates?

[edit]

There are two route line templates for this line, {{Northeast Corridor Line}} and {{NJ-Transit NEC}}. Should they be integrated? Best of both? --ChrisRuvolo (t) 23:07, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Best of both, and then redirect. No need for two. Marc Shepherd (talk) 13:03, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think we're good. Moved to match the other names and redirected. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 01:47, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Former North Rahway station

[edit]

Is there any information on the old North Rahway stop? It's on the rail chart but not listed in the table. I believe it went out of service around 1990, and does no seem to be present on Google Maps. -- Jevanyn talk 14:24, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It was at Scott Ave-- inbound platform just northeast of Scott Ave, outbound platform just SW of Scott Ave. Tim Zukas (talk) 21:34, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Distances from NY

[edit]

I corrected the table's mileage from NY to each station. Some people might wonder why North Elizabeth is 14.4 miles from NY when Milepost 13 is right there on the outbound platform; the "13" is also measured (sort of) from NY, but from downtown. End of track at the Jersey City ferry terminal was designated MP 1.0 and the mileposts west from there to at least the Schuylkill River are based on that. So at stations from Harrison west, "distance from NY Penn Station" is about 1.35 miles more than "milepost location". Tim Zukas (talk) 22:40, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Except: at stations west of Bristol, distance from NY Penn is 1.1 miles more than the milepost, due to the circa-1911 line change around Bristol. Tim Zukas (talk) 19:56, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
