Totally irrelevant for an encyclopedia
[edit]75% of this page needs to be deleted because it is totally irrelevant. Example: "Paella Sundays." It's just a backyard party, there are 1000s such every weekend in LA. Clearly the subject himself and/or somebody on his behalf have been filling this page with ego-gratifying nonsense that doesn't belong in any encyclopedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.37.152.229 (talk) 19:24, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
Unsubstantiated claims and missing reference
[edit]This section reads like a CV puff piece, is unsubstantiated, and has no references. Therefore it ought to be deleted. Especially problematic is the claim "very successful products" when all of those games have received dismal reviews. In addition, the level of Mr. Moreno's contribution to those games is unsubstantiated.
"As President of Digital Fusion, Pepe Moreno also has an extensive video game background and is the creator and designer of a multitude of very successful products, including BeachHead 2000, BeachHead 2002 and BeachHead Desert War, which were marketed by Infrogrames (Atari). DFI, in association with Trymedia and their digital rights management advanced copy protection technology, released BeachHead 2000 as was one of the first titles ever to be distributed via downloads protected with DRM." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.129.51.186 (talk) 11:39, 25 April 2016 (UTC)
Hellcab
[edit]"Perhaps one of Pepe’s most endearing projects is Hell Cab. Completed in 1993, the title was an industry first and an instant classic." Yeah right, this "game" was ass. I remember getting it in one of those 10-in-1 CD-ROM bundles when get my first computer with a CD-ROM drive, and this was the type of garbage that was common for the format in those early days. Is there any actual, credible references to Hellcab being "an instant classic" or "an industry first" or was this article written by Mr. Moreno himself? --72.9.91.106 (talk) 01:35, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
- The whole thing reads like a CV puff piece; bizarrely the writers have chosen to focus on the computer game development rather than the comics art, which is a terrible mistake (who gives a shit about "Beachhead 2000" nowadays?). -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 10:09, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
- Gone. Now you need to watch to see who puts it back, and block them until they apologise. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 10:17, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
False
[edit]"Hell Cab was one of first ever CD-ROM titles, and helped establish the popularity of the CD-ROM title business by setting standards in originality of content and form." Ah, no it wasn't. This game was garbage, and all of this is uncited. Who's editing this crap in?
