User:Pine/drafts/VisualEditor default state 2014 part 2

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Many of us will remember VisualEditor's launch in July 2013 and the two RfCs that resulted in VE becoming an opt-in feature, Wikipedia:VisualEditor/RFC and Wikipedia:VisualEditor/Default State RFC.

The Wikimedia Foundation has acknowledged that the launch should have been handled differently in its 2014—2015 draft Annual Plan.

Under what conditions, if any, should we re-enable VisualEditor by default on this wiki?

I will not vote in this RfC. I suggest that this RfC should remain open for approximately 30 days, meaning that this RfC will close in the first week of July 2014. --Pine 07:17, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
