Your articles

[edit]

Hi (G)jabz. I am always happy to see new editors in Romania-related articles. With all due respect of course, your articles have as far been of low quality. This is understandable as you're new, and Wikipedia is not really good at guiding new users. It took me around 1 year or more until I got to a decent level of editing. So I want to give you some advice.

First, please respect the WP:DRAFT process. Drafts are a useful way for new editors of getting their articles reviewed by other more experienced ones and getting advices to improve them. They are unfortunately slow though, they may take months. However, I insist in that it might be better to keep your articles reviewed for now since you're just starting. My second advice is to always use at least two sources in your articles. One is enough, but it is generally considered too little and will get your article tagged (tags are those notices at the top of some articles). In case you don't know where to search, I recommend Google Scholar (useful for scientific stuff, not so much for more "informal" events), Google Books (use it if you can't find anything in other places) and the news section at Google (the most useful, it is used for events such as elections or an attempt to give examples, it can also be useful if you want to create short biographies). There are more places to search but these are the main ones, at least for me. Be careful with adding blogs or other random websites in Google, those are not accepted.

By the way, we merge two different concepts into one single article very few times, pretty much never in geography-related pages. So your page Basarabka and Moldovanka should be split into Basarabka and Moldovanka (by the way, I haven't been able to find Kazakh sources about these places, only Romanian ones, so we have to be careful, if there are no sources for a certain topic it will usually get deleted in Wikipedia per WP:NOTABILITY, that's why I recommend that you keep your articles for now in the draftspace).

Creating pages is really not difficult, as long as you follow the usual structure of Wikipedia (categories, the article title is bolded at first on the main text in most cases, infoboxes in most cases, etc.) and add sources. You got the first one already, so you only need to remember to always add sources. I recommend you use an article as your "model" for creating others. In order not to seem arrogant and to put an article that I have created, I propose Seven Villages, it is a good article with 2 sources, images and the standard structure created by a not so active (and thus also a bit inexperienced I assume) user as well. I hope you find this advice useful and that I am not coming across as mean. Good luck in your editing. Super Ψ Dro 18:02, 29 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate the advice. I will now focus on creating higher quality articles and follow your advice. Sorry for the inconvenience. (G)jabz (talk) 18:09, 29 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:User dc-1 indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read! Notice

The article Moldavanka, Kazakhstan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication such a settlement still exists.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Aromanians into Aromanian diaspora. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 17:15, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Copying text from public domain sources

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Aromanians in Kosovo. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 20:36, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your articles, again

[edit]

Hello again (G)jabz. I am afraid that at the present the pages you are creating produce more harm than good on Wikipedia. They are low quality and generally on not notable or hardly notable stuff. It's also clear that you don't put too much time into researching. I will please ask you to stop creating pages until you gain more experience and more ability to identify which topics are notable and which aren't. Your edits may be welcome on already existing pages but most of the pages that you have created are deleted or redirected. I mean, look at your talk page. It's full of warnings and notices. And again, please don't limit yourself to one single source. If you don't add a second one because you can't find it, it probably means the topic hasn't been discussed enough, that is, it isn't notable. For more info read the WP:NOTABILITY guideline. Super Ψ Dro 17:29, 26 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ah crap, not again. Also, yeah, I will :( (G)jabz (talk) 17:33, 26 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Last warning

[edit]

I'm afraid that you have a lack of understanding of Wikipedia's functioning and policies. Ever since my last message, you attempted to overrule the result of an AfD discussion [1] and have once again created a low-quality page [2]. I initially left you some advice because I was enthusiastic about helping new Romania-interested users to get introduced on Wikipedia but it appears you haven't really applied it. First of all, you have never sent a draft for reviewing, instead resorting on either leaving drafts abandoned or moving them yourself to the mainspace. You also still do not respect that we need sources on articles, this being not a condition but a rule. And we need several ones, ideally. Just using one is problematic. But your latest page didn't use any. From your edit-summary I assume you thought it'd be ok to have this page this way because it was also unsourced on Romanian Wikipedia, but that's not the case, and you were already explained this [3]. I will also note that out of all the pages you've ever published, which are probably 10 already, only Volohi stands, and this should make you think before publishing another page.

Most of the edits you've ever done have been problematic and other editors have had to intervene to fix the issues you raised. Thus, I am giving you a last warning to respect the draft process and to use sources or I will report you. There's a policy on Wikipedia precisely for cases like this, see Wikipedia:Competence is required. Note that I never doubted your good faith when doing these edits but as the policy itself says, "A mess created in a sincere effort to help is still a mess". I do not want to reach this point but I will do it if necessary. Super Ψ Dro 21:42, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"you attempted to overrule the result of an AfD discussion" I wanted to save the page as a draft so I can add on it until it's Wikipedia worthy. As for the Țara Mocanilor article, I thought it was "ok". I was planning on adding sources after a moderator pointed on the page that it's unsourced, but I didn't have time. Thank you (G)jabz (talk) 07:08, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If it's deleted at AfD, it is deemed that it is not possible to write a "Wikipedia worthy" article on the topic. See WP:G4 (t · c) buidhe 07:29, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Dacia Dokker has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. It is particularly unclear why you removed various conversion templates used throughout the article. Removing entire sections of the article also warrants a far clearer edit summary than just "clean-up". Terms like "Middle East" do not generally need to be linked (see MOS:OVERLINK) unless there is a very specific connection to the article subject, which in this case there is not. Article categories

[edit]

Hello, (G)jabz,

According to WP:REDNO, there can be no red link categories on any pages on Wikipedia, they must either be removed from the page or the category needs to be created so that it fits into the existing Wikipedia category hierarchy. Please do not make up categories, use existing categories that already exist and are being used. I suggest you looking at articles on similar subjects to the one you are writing about and see what the categories are being used on that page so you can use the same categories on your own article.

If you have questions, please bring them to the Teahoue. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:33, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

[edit]

I see you've been warned numerous times about various issues, so consider this a final warning for all of them. First and foremost, you absolutely may not copy and paste copyrighted content onto Wikipedia, second, you should not be using unreliable sources, rumour mills, blogs etc...to source articles and lastly, stop creating articles for every car/product without adequately showing that it's notable (as indicated by multiple independent, reliable sources), not blogs, not the company's PR team or announcements. PRAXIDICAE🌈 13:56, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

you keep saying ok and acknowledging the warnings but you fail to actually follow through. PRAXIDICAE🌈 14:01, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm trying to improve. If you look at my contributions, you can see some (in my opinion) pretty good edits. Mostly infobox improvements, but still. Also, most of my warnings are for abandoned Draft pages I made. (G)jabz (talk) 14:03, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2022 Serbian-Kosovo crisis, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kosovo unrests. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 14:35, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Renault Access moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Renault Access, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources to show that the subject is WP:NOTABLE. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Salut !

[edit]

A kitten for you!

[edit]

Hello there! Something I like to do is review the queue of requested edits, and I saw that you resolved a request submitted at Talk:2022 Ukrainian southern counteroffensive. I'd like to bestow upon you a kitten for helping others!

If you ever run into another edit request and wish to fulfill it, one thing to help out editors that like to review requested edits is to add the parameter answered=yes to the edit request template. I've gone ahead and done this for you. This parameter applies to all of the protection-specific templates (e.g {{Edit semi-protected}}, {{Edit extended-protected}}, etc), and it serves to remove the request from the queue. A fantastic script that streamlines this process with a slick graphical interface is the Edit Request Tool by Terasail.

I appreciate you being here on Wikipedia, and happy editing! —Sirdog (talk) 05:51, 13 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Battle of Kreminna (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:ONEOTHER: "If there are only two topics to which a given title might refer, and one is the primary topic, then a disambiguation page is not needed—it is sufficient to use a hatnote on the primary topic article, pointing to the other article." Battle of Kreminna is the primary topic, and the only other possible entry is a "speculated future battle".

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 16 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions to DS 8. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it is too soon, please see both WP:TOOSOON and WP:CRYSTAL. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Ldm1954 (talk) 13:10, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you started

[edit]

Hi (G)jabz. Thank you for your work on Lada Niva Vision. Another editor, Ldm1954, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

I don't see the notability of an article about a cancelled car. Why have it separate from the Renault page?

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Ldm1954}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

A tag has been placed on Renault E-Tech Electric requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Unneeded redirect that is quite dumb

The Mégane E-Tech is no longer the sole E-Tech Electric model, but Binksternet thinks otherwise.
