According to a nearly normal .93 risk ratio, this data is insignificant, so consult stratified data. [1] In data stratified for smokers, TCAs contrast in effect on heart attack rates with SSRIs: TCAs increase the rate of Coronary heart disease to one hundred fifty-one percent of normal,[2] while SSRIs protect smokers from myocardial infarction with a thirty-five percent of normal risk after adjustment for Aspirin use and other known confounding factors.[3]
