Spanish Filipinos

[edit]

Thanks for this edit undoing my reversion of several of your edits. I clearly mis-read the edits I was reverting. Mea Culpa. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 10:39, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Previous government

[edit]

Hi. Here, I have reverted three of your good faith edits to the Insular Government of the Philippine Islands article. This involves something that should be clearer thanb it presently is in the Taft Commission article -- I have been meaning to get around to improving that article regarding this but have not been able to get to it. See Talk:Taft Commission § Rewrite needed and please discuss there if needed -- and/or perhaps you could look into digging into that yourself. understandable thank you. Liane777 (talk) 07:26, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm revisiting the above, leaving the reverts in place for now but adding a second-thoughts explanation. Sorry about the confusion -- that's the result of my not being able to concentrate on this at present, which has also kept me from getting to the rewrite. Footnote [a] in this article regarding the establishment date of the insular government also figures into this -- Since adding that footnote, I have revised the Philippines Wikidata to agree with the April 11, 1899 date mentioned there for reasons that footnote should make clear. All this is messy and some of it is incorrect. It needs work, but I am unable to get to it right now. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 07:33, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
