Your GA nomination of Itim

[edit]

The article Itim you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Itim for comments about the article, and Talk:Itim/GA2 for the nomination. Well done! Message delivered by ChristieBot, on behalf of Royiswariii -- Royiswariii (talk) 08:21, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hats off for your GA! ❤️ Did you see the film? If you aren't Filipino, that is a cherry on top for your dedication. DareshMohan (talk) 08:09, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! Yes, it’s a great film! I don’t really deserve praises for that article, see the talk page.-Mushy Yank. 10:43, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notable

[edit]

So it is almost a given that Malaysian Tamil cinema actors aren't notable due to size of industry. But I feel Draft:Yuvaraj Krishnasamy is more notable than Draft:Moon Nila based on number of awards and number of blue links. See Asian_Academy_Creative_Award_for_Best_Actor/Actress_in_a_Comedy_Role#_Singapore. The Ulagam awards are from Malaysia (so technically he got awards from two countries). If deemed notable, only then I will develop further.

IMDb doesn't due justice [1] and fails to list telefilms/director credits. DareshMohan (talk) 08:12, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I owe both of you. Geethaiyin Raadhai and Moon Nila. I mean at least the actors who have sources and awards are notable right? @Kailash29792: I'm sure not all of the films are cringe [2] DareshMohan (talk) 19:52, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request

Need article for La banda Picasso. 2 reviews: [3] [4] and 1 production source [5]. DareshMohan (talk) 11:46, 25 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello DareshMohan and Merry Christmas. Looks interesting. Thanks. Will do it later. Best, -Mushy Yank. 12:53, 25 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Can you find any other reviews for Tropical Heat (1993) [6]. DareshMohan (talk) 12:21, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, DareshMohan, and happy New Year. It has a brief assessment and plot summary in Video Movie Guide ("Exotic locales enhance this sultry mystery, as insurance-investigator -Rick Rossovich- travels to India to track down the widow of a maharaja killed on a hunting safari. What starts off as a job becomes an infatuation as dangerous as the woman he has fallen for."). Some users generally think it's not enough on its own but you have also this one, short but significant: https://archive.org/details/Psychotronic_Video_16/page/n61/mode/2up?q=%22Tropical+Heat%22+%22D%27Abo%22. A redirect to a mention in the director's page, including the cast, premise, seems warranted; a standalone page might be challenged if that's all there is (but given the presence of d'Abo in the cast, there might be more). A plot summary in TV guide and a few bloggish entries, like the one you linked exist.-Mushy Yank. 18:41, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, happy new year and belated Merry Christmas to you. Can you save the article Tales of The Kama Sutra: The Perfumed Garden or is it to be deleted? DareshMohan (talk) 19:47, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Beautiful work! Can you do the same for Tales of The Kama Sutra 2: Monsoon? DareshMohan (talk) 20:50, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Scott Derrickson's unrealized projects requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. DYK for Itim

[edit]

On 30 December 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Itim, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the 1976 Philippine film Itim was described as "one of the most remarkable debuts in cinema history" in a 2022 retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Itim. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Itim), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Tag

[edit]

Hello, I'm confused as to why you are removing the tag. WP:NFF would seem to clearly show that this film is not yet notable. 331dot (talk) 01:13, 31 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and thanks. Production is covered in reliable sources and premise, cast, etc. are known, having the film meet NFF in my view (ie even if it’s cancelled today, the production will remain of note). Now if @2pou: agrees to redirect or draftify it , I won’t oppose the move but leaving a Notability tag for a year on the page about such a high-profile production will confuse the reader, I think. Best wishes, -Mushy Yank. 01:29, 31 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not seeing what it notable about the production of the film itself, that would warrant it an article. You said it's "high profile" but nothing in the article indicates that from what I can see. Rust (2024 film) merited an article before its release because the production itself was notable due to the shooting incident. The only information about RIP is the casting(which is routine) and naming the distributor(also routine). 331dot (talk) 01:34, 31 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
then please discuss with 2pou about what you can do, thanks.-Mushy Yank. 01:37, 31 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, missed tagging you in the draftificaton notice, so here you are. -- asilvering (talk) 01:45, 31 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello; no need to apologize! Thanks and best wishes. (That was a surprising yet, I think, very good close you made, although I generally don’t favour Draftifications)-Mushy Yank. 01:51, 31 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
