Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello User3810486! Your additions to Mesrop Mashtots have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Sennecaster (Chat) 03:22, 21 December 2024 (UTC)

Armenian translation of John Chrysostom's commentary on the Psalms moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Armenian translation of John Chrysostom's commentary on the Psalms. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Hey man im josh (talk) 17:25, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
Koriun and The Life of Mashtots pages
[edit]Dear User3810486,
Thank you for your contributions to articles on Armenian subjects. I hope you will continue to make them. I saw that you created an article for The Life of Mesrop Mashtots. Since Koriun has no other known works other than Life of Mashtots, it is probably an unnecessary content fork (creating a separate page about the same or almost the same topic, see WP:REDUNDANTFORK for more about this). I'd like to hear your opinion about this. I think it would be best to add any new information about the author and his one work to the article Koriun. Best wishes, Revolution Saga (talk) 01:52, 26 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, information about the alphabets and the works in Armenian, Caucasian Albanian and Georgian are fragmentary, dispersed and unorganized and I want to help organize them. I only use serious references when I contribute. The articles will be expanded by me and others of course with passages from the actual works. If I do this not separately but in articles that already exist they will be overloaded with information. This information overload is a reason for others to delete very relevant information. Best wishes. User3810486 (talk) 21:12, 26 December 2024 (UTC)
Warning
[edit]Your recent editing history at Mesrop Mashtots shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. --Երևանցի talk 19:02, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
