Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, WikiPate. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. signed, Rosguill talk 05:17, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
Hey, thanks for your message.
Actually I feel a bit honoured, because aviation is nothing but my hobby. I have never worked in or for the aviation sector – directly or indirectly. All my knowledge about aviation I learned by myself autodidactically.
I give my best to keep a critical distance anyway. For example by stating (questionable) flights to Russia by Air Arabia Abu Dhabi. And by stating terminated (failed) routes by Wizz Air Abu Dhabi. WikiPate (talk) 07:24, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the prompt response. I was a bit concerned due to your focus on very new airlines, and because at Air Arabia Abu Dhabi you cited sources that included criticism of the subject but didn't make a mention of it in the prose of the article. That having been said, given your editing history as a whole I'm satisfied with your response at this time. signed, Rosguill talk 07:30, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
I appreciate your efforts of keeping WP a neutral source of information. WikiPate (talk) 21:29, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for March 25
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Arajet, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page New York. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

- This edit was meant:
- https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=IndiGo&diff=prev&oldid=1160915251
- No reference for the figure 778. IndiGo ordered 500 planes of the A320neo family including A320neo and A321neo. So you cannot simply calculate 178+600=778 just for the A320neo. Not sure where you got the 600 from. Adding 500 in this cell would be also wrong. There is no reference supporting your edit.
- In the same edit you added the URL https://simpleflying.com/indigo-record-breaking-airbus-order/ behind "Largest [A320neo] operator". This is a wrong reference that does not support the statement that IndiGo is the largest A320neo operator. WikiPate (talk) 09:41, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

Good start, but needs more independent sources. I've assessed the article as Start class.
